Arroz con Leche (Costa Rican Rice Pudding) Print Recipe Pin Recipe Cook Time 30 minutes minsTotal Time 30 minutes mins Course Appetizer, Dinner, Side Dish Ingredients 1½ cups White Rice1¾ cups Water1 tbsp Unsalted Butter1 cup Hot Water1 Cinnamon Stick1½ tsp Whole Cloves½ cup White Sugar¼ can of Sweetened Condensed Milk½ can of Evaporated Milk1 pinch of salt½ tsp Vanilla Extract½ tsp Lime Zest Instructions In a large saucepan, combine the rice, butter, 1¾ cups water, cinnamon stick, and cloves.Boil over high heat until the water dries up, stirring occasionally to avoid the rice sticking to the bottom of the pan.Once the rice dries up add the hot water, sugar, and evaporated milk, vanilla extract, stirring constantly.Add ¼ can of sweetened condensed milk, the lime zest, and pinch of salt.Boil and stir until the desired consistency is reached.Serve warm and sprinkled with ground cinnamon.Enjoy!
