Cheese Stuffed Turkey Burger Print Recipe Pin Recipe Prep Time 20 minutes minsCook Time 15 minutes minsTotal Time 35 minutes mins Course Appetizer, Dinner, Main CourseCuisine American Ingredients Ground TurkeyPotato Hamburger BunsCheese Slices of Choice1 tbsp Black Pepper1 tbsp Unsalted Butter½ tbsp Seasoned Salt1 tsp Olive Oil1 tsp Garlic Powder1 tsp Onion Powder½ tsp Liquid SmokeKetchup + Mayonnaise equal amounts Instructions Fold cheese slices into fours. Make sure to leave some whole slices aside for topping burger patties. In large mixing bowl, add ground turkey, black pepper, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, liquid smoke and mix. Best if mixed with hands. Take a liberal amount of mix and use hands to form into a ball. Press down on ball to flatten slightly into burger patty. Use two fingers to press indent in middle of patty to create a pocket. Place 2-4 small cheese squares into pocket. Take another liberal amount of mix and place overtop of cheese pocket and begin to massage into one large patty making sure there are no holes in patty. In large sauce pan or skillet, set to medium heat. Pour in olive oil then place butter to begin to melt. Place patty and let cook for 5-7 minutes on each side. After flipping burger, add in hamburger buns flat down to let then toast in butter. Remove buns and burgers and begin to plate. In small bowl stir together ketchup and mayonnaise. Place burger on bottom bun and spread ketchup mayonnaise mix on top bun. Enjoy!
