Quick Shrimp and Grits

Shrimp and Grits

Ingredients
  

Shrimp

  • Shrimp
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • ¼ White Onion diced
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Cajun Seasoning

Sauce

  • ½ cup Almond Milk
  • ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese grated
  • ¼ tbsp Corn Starch

Grits

  • 1 cup Grits
  • 1 cup Almond Milk
  • 1 tbsp Butter

Instructions
 

  • In medium sauce pot bring milk to a boil and add in grits. Continuously stir until grits become thick. Stir in butter and remove from heat.
  • Dice onion.
  • In medium or large skillet over medium heat, add oil the butter to allow it to melt. Add in onions to and cook for 3 minutes. Then add in garlic and mix. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.
  • Add in shrimp and Cajun seasoning. Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes and remove.
  • Pour in milk, corn starch, parmesan cheese, and stir. Allow to simmer for 3 minutes then reduce heat to low.
  • Plate grits, shrimp, then sauce in order.
  • Enjoy!
