DIY Panera White Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese
Ingredients
- 2 cups White Cheddar Cheese shredded
- 2 cups Heavy Cream
- 1 cup Whole Milk
- ¼ cup Butter unsalted
- ¼ cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Ground Mustard
- 1 lb Cavatappi Pasta
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions or desire. Drain and set aside.
- While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large pot over medium-high heat.
- Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute then reduce to medium heat.
- Pour in milk, heavy cream, salt, mustard, black pepper, and whisk.
- Continue to whisk until bubbling begins. Reduce to low heat and stir in white cheddar until combined.
- Add in cooked pasta and stir to combine for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and plate. Top with salt and fresh cracked pepper to desire. Sprinkle any left over shredded white cheddar cheese.
