DIY Panera White Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups White Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • ¼ cup Butter unsalted
  • ¼ cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Ground Mustard
  • 1 lb Cavatappi Pasta

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta according to package directions or desire. Drain and set aside.
  • While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  • Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute then reduce to medium heat.
  • Pour in milk, heavy cream, salt, mustard, black pepper, and whisk.
  • Continue to whisk until bubbling begins. Reduce to low heat and stir in white cheddar until combined.
  • Add in cooked pasta and stir to combine for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and plate. Top with salt and fresh cracked pepper to desire. Sprinkle any left over shredded white cheddar cheese.
