Honey Jalapeño Salmon
Ingredients
Salmon
- 3 -4 Salmon Fillets ~ 4 oz each
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- ½ tsp Paprika
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Black Pepper
Honey Jalapeño Sauce
- 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 1 tbsp Jalapeño Powder
- 3 tbsp Honey I used a spicy hot honey
- 1 Jalapeño Pepper chopped
- Salt & Pepper
- 1-2 tbsp Fresh Parsley chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Season the salmon fillets with the paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Heat a medium sized pan on medium heat, then add in the tbsp of olive oil. Place your salmon fillets into the pan and let them sear for about 3-4 minutes before flipping. If you eat the skin and want a crispy skin, place the salmon skin side down into the pan first.
- After about 4 minutes, flip the salmon and let the other side cook for another 3 minutes. It will continue cooking in the sauce at the end, so it doesn’t need to be fully cooked through.
- Remove the salmon from the pan and set it aside.
- To the same pan you cooked the salmon, add in the jalapeno to the remaining oil and cook on medium heat for 1 minute.
- Next add in the butter, honey, jalapeño powder, and salt and pepper and cook for another 2 minutes until the butter melts and the sauce thickens.
- Add the salmon fillets back into the pan, then pour the lemon juice over the fish. Let the salmon cook in the sauce for about 2 more minutes, until its cooked to your liking. Spoon the sauce over the fish while it continues to cook.
- Garnish with fresh parsley.
- Enjoy!
