Season the salmon fillets with the paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Heat a medium sized pan on medium heat, then add in the tbsp of olive oil. Place your salmon fillets into the pan and let them sear for about 3-4 minutes before flipping. If you eat the skin and want a crispy skin, place the salmon skin side down into the pan first.
After about 4 minutes, flip the salmon and let the other side cook for another 3 minutes. It will continue cooking in the sauce at the end, so it doesn’t need to be fully cooked through.
Remove the salmon from the pan and set it aside.
To the same pan you cooked the salmon, add in the jalapeno to the remaining oil and cook on medium heat for 1 minute.
Next add in the butter, honey, jalapeño powder, and salt and pepper and cook for another 2 minutes until the butter melts and the sauce thickens.
Add the salmon fillets back into the pan, then pour the lemon juice over the fish. Let the salmon cook in the sauce for about 2 more minutes, until its cooked to your liking. Spoon the sauce over the fish while it continues to cook.
Garnish with fresh parsley.
Enjoy!
