Mashed Butternut Squash Print Recipe Pin Recipe Prep Time 15 minutes minsCook Time 1 hour hrTotal Time 1 hour hr 15 minutes mins Course Dinner, Main Course, Side Dish Ingredients 1 Large Butternut Squash¼ Cup Heavy Cream⅓ Cup Butter melted4 Tbsp Brown Sugar½ Tsp Cinnamon½ Tsp Vanilla Extract¼ Tsp Nutmeg Instructions Preheat oven to 350°F.Cut butternut squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds.Lightly brush the squash with melted butter (reserve the rest for mashing).Place on a baking sheet cut side up and bake 1 hour or until very tender.Scoop out the flesh and place in a large bowl.With a hand masher or an electric mixer on low, mix until smooth. Pour in heavy cream, melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add salt & pepper to taste if desired. Enjoy!
