Sweet Dry Rub Wings Print Recipe Pin Recipe Prep Time 15 minutes minsCook Time 40 minutes minsTotal Time 55 minutes mins Course Appetizer, Dinner, Main Course Ingredients Sweet Dry Rub1 tbsp Chipotle Powder1 tbsp Smoked Paprika1 tbsp Kosher Salt¼ cup Packed Brown Sugar light or dark½ tbsp Chili Powder1 tsp Cumin1 tsp Garlic Powder1 tsp Onion Powder1 tsp Cayenne Pepper1 tsp Dried Mustard½ tsp Black Pepper½ tsp Dried Oregano½ tsp Ground ThymeChicken Wings2½ lbs Chicken Wings1 tbsp Black Pepper1 tbsp SaltOlive Oil Instructions Preheat oven to 425℉.Wash and pat chicken wings dry.In large mixing bowl, place wings along with salt, pepper, olive oil, and mix with hands. Make sure to mix well by covering all wings in mix.Use a large cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil and place a cooling rack overtop of it to allow chicken wings to drain. Aline wings in 3 rows on rack and place in oven to bake for 22 minutes.Combine all the dry rub ingredients in a bowl and whisk until completely mixed. Sprinkle a generous amount of the dry rub on both sides of the wings. You can use your fingers to do this or an old shaker. Remove wings from oven and use tongs to flip wings over to allow other side to cook. Place back into oven for 22 more minutes or until the wings are crispy and nicely caramelized.Remove wings from oven and let cool. If you desire crispier wings, flip again and place it in the oven for 10-15 more minutes. You can sprinkle some more rub if desired. Enjoy!
