Boortsog (Mongolian Cookie/Fried Dough)

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • Cups Warm Water
  • 7 Oz Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • ½ Of Active Dry Yeast Package 1⅛ tsp
  • ½ Of Vanilla Sugar Package
  • ¼ Cup Sugar
  • ½ Cup Butter unsalted
  • ½ Tsp Baking Powder
  • Pinch Of Salt
  • Vegetable Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Combine in a medium sized bowl, condensed milk, yeast, butter, and warm water. Stir until everything is dissolved in the water.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, sugar, vanilla sugar, and baking powder.
  • Pour wet bowl into dry and mix well. Dough should become soft and not runny.
  • Rest dough in a warm are for 1-2 hours.
  • Heat frying oil in a large fryer or pan. Cut and roll dough into desired shapes: balls, twist, rectangles, etc.
  • Deep fry until both sides are bright golden and remove to a paper towel lined baking sheet.
