Cut onion into ½ inch thick rounds.
Setup 3 bowls for our work station. Combine in one bowl flour, smoke paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Crack the egg and whisk into another bowl. The last bowl is for the crushed crispy onions. Best way to crush crispy onions will be a food processor.
Dredge sliced onions in flour coating completely, then transfer to egg wash. Cover with egg completely and toss into crispy onion bowl. Coat each onion well and place into air fryer.
Spray cooking oil spray and air-fry for 8-10 minutes on 400℉. Check halfway through to see if they require a flip.
Remove from basket and serve with dipping sauce of choice.
