DIY Hashbrown Casserole

Inspired by a Cracker Barrel Recipe

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Casserole Dish

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Small Yellow Onion diced
  • 1/2 cup Melted Butter
  • 2 cups Sour Cream
  • 3 cups Colby Cheese set aside 1 cup for crust
  • 10.5 oz Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 32 oz Shredded Hashbrown Potatoes frozen

Seasonings

  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbsp Kosher Salt
  • 2 tbsp Black Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F
  • Inside of your mixing bowl, add all ingredients except 1 cup of cheese. Combine thoroughly.
  • Prepare your casserole dish by generously greasing with oil or butter.
  • Evenly distribute potato mix throughout casserole dish, making sure it is level.
  • Sprinkle 1 cup of cheese among the top of your dish to create a crust.
  • Bake dish for 50 minutes, or until crust is golden.
  • Remove dish and let sit for at least 10 minutes.
  • Enjoy!
