DIY Hashbrown Casserole

Inspired by a Cracker Barrel Recipe

Cook Time 50 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Small Yellow Onion diced
  • 1/2 cup Melted Butter
  • 2 cups Sour Cream
  • 3 cups Colby Cheese set aside 1 cup for crust
  • 10.5 oz Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 32 oz Shredded Hashbrown Potatoes frozen
Seasonings
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbsp Kosher Salt
  • 2 tbsp Black Pepper

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Casserole Dish

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F
  2. Inside of your mixing bowl, add all ingredients except 1 cup of cheese. Combine thoroughly.
  3. Prepare your casserole dish by generously greasing with oil or butter.
  4. Evenly distribute potato mix throughout casserole dish, making sure it is level.
  5. Sprinkle 1 cup of cheese among the top of your dish to create a crust.
  6. Bake dish for 50 minutes, or until crust is golden.
  7. Remove dish and let sit for at least 10 minutes.
  8. Enjoy!
